Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Produce and maintain service contracts for harvesting operations, timber sales, and road work with information provided by foresters using standard forms.
- Enter service and sales contract data into the company forest management accounting system.
- Process both company and client accounts payable invoices.
- Provide and maintain recreational licensing administration.
- Operate office machines to input and retrieve data; arrange maintenance when needed.
- Manage office data filing systems, compliance standards, and reporting functions.
- Compose and type routine correspondence and send via US mail, email, or fax.
- Provide various internal and customer service functions.
- Answer phone calls and provide information or route calls as required.
- Perform other related duties and tasks as necessary or as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to prioritize workload.
- Basic level of general accounting practices.
- Attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
- Working knowledge of office procedures and equipment.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information.
- Ability to develop strong team relationships with managers, co-workers, clients, vendors, and customers.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education/Experience:
- Associates degree in business, accounting, or related field desired. Related experience could be substituted in lieu of education.
- Experience with multiple types of computer software and evidence of ability to handle detailed data properly and accurately is required.
- Computer skills: Internet, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel. Additional skills desired, but not necessary: Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Access.
